I was born in Hull,Qc, but spent my childhood growing up in Luskville in the Pontiac. My first language is French and I spent most of my life playing hockey. At the age of 15 years old, I was drafted in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and played five full years and for 4 different teams: Montreal Rocket, Rimouski Oceanic, Val D'Or Foreurs and Victoriaville Tigers. When I graduated from the QMJHL, I decided to go play professional hockey in the U.S where I suited for two teams: Fort Wayne Komets and the Wichita Thunder.
After spending almost one year in the minor leagues, I had the opportunity to join St. Thomas University to play hockey and get an education. During that time, I spent five years representing St. Thomas as a French language Monitor in Elementary schools, as a captain of the hockey team and as a Academic All-Canadian athlete. In may 2011, I graduated from University with a Bachelor of Arts and in July 2012, I graduated from my Bachelor of Education with a concentration in teaching French Immersion at the secondary level. As soon as I graduated from my second degree, I accepted a teaching position at D'Arcy McGee High School in the Gatineau region. I am currently in my 7th year as a Full-time teacher at DMHS and happily graduated from a Master`s degree in Education from the University of British Columbia in Western Canada.
I have gained tremendous experience in the field of education as a teacher, a sports coach, a mentor/Coach, a leader and now I have the opportunity of a life-time to make a difference! I am passionate about teaching and my goal is to instill the love of learning in my students while keeping them motivated by planning creative and meaningful lessons plans.
